About The Director
Richard Colvin is a museum professional with deep roots in the Central Florida art world. Colvin grew up in Winter Park, and attended Rollins College. After graduation, he worked as exhibition designer in Rollins' Cornell Fine Arts Museum until 1997 (17 years), including accreditation/reaccreditation with the American Association of Museums. He was curator at the Maitland Art Center 1997-2009, and served as curator of art & history at Art & History Museums Maitland until 2012. He has been at LEMA since then.
